Vienna Giant Wheel (Prater)

You will easily get to know the sights of the city as you drive by. The Ringstrasse is a boulevard in Vienna, built by the Emperor Franz Joseph I. We will cross the Prater, drive to the UNO-City and the Hundertwasserhaus, see Prince Eugen's palace Belvedere and the famous summer palace of Maria Theresia, Schönbrunn.

Along the Danube, through the vineyards and with distant views of the city

 

The bus will take us through the green Prater, across the Danube and the parallel running New Danube to the leisure paradise Old Danube. Then we will move towards Donaupforte, with a view of Klosterneuburg Monastery and the Leopoldsberg and Kahlenberg. We will drive along the one kilometer-long building of red Vienna, the Karl-Marx-Hof, and through Beethoven's summer residence Heiligenstadt and the wine village Grinzing. Reaching the highest point on Kahlenberg, we will have a great view over the city of Vienna.

Vienna is famous for and proud of more than 220,000 urban apartments. More than 60,000 were built at the time of "Red Vienna". We will drive to the most famous "community buildings" of the Red Vienna, such as the Karl-Marx-Hof in Heiligenstadt, the Goethehof in Kaisermühlen, the Karl Seitz-Hof in Jedlesee or the Matzleistaler Hof in Margareten.
